Camp Arrival and Orientation
Camp participants check-in and then move into their rooms during the arrival window.
We do not check-in trainees prior to the opening of the arrival window.
Arrival and program orientations are as follows.
All Space Camp and Robotics Programs Arrive at the Red Towers
Space Academy, Space Academy Robotics and Advanced Space Academy
- Arrival window: 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. (CST)
- Program Orientation: 2:00 p.m. (CST) in the Davidson Center Building
Space Camp and Space Camp Robotics
- Arrival window: 1:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. (CST)
- Program Orientation: 4:00 p.m. (CST) in the Davidson Center Building
All Aviation Challenge Programs Arrive at Aviation Challenge
Aviation Challenge (Mach 1, Mach 2, and Mach 3)
- Arrival window: 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. (CST)
- Program Orientation: 2:30 p.m. (CST) under the Aviation Challenge Bubble
Additional check-in information:
Please leave luggage in your vehicle until registration has been completed. (If you have any medications that need to be dropped off with our nurses, please bring them inside when checking in.)
A uniformed Space Camp staff member will greet trainees arriving for Camp via plane at their gate at Huntsville International Airport and provide transportation to Camp.We do not offer this service for parents of trainees. If you are flying in with your child, please make other arrangements.
Only one parent per trainee is allowed to assist with room move in.
If you choose to depart prior to your child's program orientation time, there will be an additional $20 fee for caring for your child until the program officially starts at orientation.*
That fee will be added and auto billed to your account.
*Subject to availability as space is limited. Availability is on a first come, first serve basis.
