Are you ready to be challenged by our astronaut training simulators? Spin in the multi-axis trainer and experience the gravitational pull of the moon - like Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin - in our 1/6th gravity chair. Learn about and experience 5-degrees of freedom, and feel a world without friction in the MMU - manned maneuvering unit. Ready to accept the mission? Take control of the world's most complicated flying machine as Pilot or Commander of the space shuttle. Be a Mission Specialist and walk in space on an EVA (extra vehicular activity) to repair the Hubble space telescope. Build and launch a two-stage rocket at our Homer Hickam rocket launch facility. Can you handle our low ropes challenge course? Work as a team and test individual leadership characteristics at Area 51, the U.S. Space and Rocket Center's leadership reaction course. Advanced Space Academy®
for grades 10-12
Considering a high-tech career? Do you have the Right Stuff? Trainees will complete several engineering design activities in our college-accredited program through the University of Alabama-Huntsville. Are you ready to be challenged by our astronaut training simulators? Spin in the multi-axis trainer and experience the gravity like on the moon as Apollo astronauts did in our 1/6th gravity chair. Can you handle our high ropes challenge course? You will be asked to push your limits as you face a 32-foot telephone pole and the giant wall at Area 51, the U.S. Space and Rocket Center's leadership reaction course. Ready for more?
