Hubble Art Workshop
The Hubble Space Telescope has taken some of the most breathtaking pictures that we have seen in our lifetime. In this science and art workshop, you will first learn all about the Hubble Space Telescope and the amazing pictures it has taken. We will tour some actual Hubble inspired art.
You will then have the opportunity to create and take home your own Hubble inspired artwork worthy of a frame and a place on your wall at home. Please bring old clothes and your imagination!

Build a Monkey Workshop
Come and learn all about Able & Baker, our first successful American monkeynauts.
These two monkeynauts paved the way for John Glenn’s first spaceflight. Take a tour of Able and Baker’s training capsule and nose cone as well as learn all about Miss Baker’s life at the Space & Rocket Center.
You will create and go home with your very own stuffed space monkey!

Space Food WorkshopThis fun and informative hands on workshop will talk about the history of space food starting when the first American astronaut ate in space (John Glenn- Applesauce) through the food they eat on the
shuttle and ISS today. Not only have food choices changed but so have the types of food they eat.
You will learn all about the food the astronauts ate and how it is prepared. Of course, you will get to sample some space food and even take some space food home with you!
Ages 7-12
Space Suits Workshop:Do you ever wonder how a spacesuit works? In this workshop, you will be able to touch actual parts of the suits and will participate in activities that show the difficulties of working in a space suit.
You will learn about the different layers of the space suit and will make a Space Suit Layer sample that you will name and label and take home with you.
Ages 7 and up
Build a Moon Rock
Are you ready to go to the Moon? NASA scientists and engineers, as well as researchers around the world, are working towards once again landing people on the Moon!
Come and explore this idea while sitting under the Saturn V, the rocket that took us to the Moon 40 plus years ago. See the Apollo 16 capsule that orbited the Moon and an authentic rock from the Apollo 12 mission. Learn all kinds of facts about the Moon, and make your own Moon rock to take home.
