Summer is here and it is time for our annual Rockets and Ice Cream member event! Huntsville is known as the Rocket City and is world-renowned for space propulsions. Give your children the opportunity to share in this heritage by building their very own Firestreak rocket. Then watch them launch their creation into the atmosphere at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center launch site!
Join us on Saturday, June 30, 2012, from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. Crew Trainers will be on hand to help walk you and your family through the construction of the rocket. After construction is complete, you will head to our launch site to watch them fly!
To celebrate your successful launch, you are invited back to our Mars Crew Galley for a good old-fashioned ice cream social complete with all the toppings.
Admission to this event is $5.00, payable at check-in. Check-in will be located at Shuttle Park.
Space for this event is limited, so please click here to RSVP by Wednesday, June 27, 2012. Please include the total number of children and the total number of adults in your party.
We will email you a brief itinerary of the afternoon’s events along with a confirmation number. In the event of inclement weather, the launch portion of the day will be rescheduled, and all other planned activities will continue as scheduled.
