The tour will last approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes with one tour daily at 1 p.m..
We will tour Marshall Space Flight Center and make two scheduled stops. One at the Historic Redstone test stand and the other at the Payload Operations Center.
U.S. Space & Rocket Center is proud to be an official NASA visitor center. Once again we are excited to offer tours of Marshall Space Flight Center. On this bus tour, you will see a working NASA space center that includes two scheduled stops.
Historic Redstone Test Stand: Here, engineers tested the engines of the Redstone rocket that launched Alan Shepard, the first American into space, and today the site is registered as a National Historic Landmark.
The Payload Operations and Integration Center coordinates all scientific experiments on the International Space Station, as well as communications between researchers around the world and their experiments on-Station.
While on the tour bus, you will see Redstone Arsenal, a fully functioning Army facility as well as the Dynamic Test Stand used in testing the Saturn V rocket. You will also see Marshall’s own rocket park and much more.
NASA Bus Tour Rules:
- All participants must be US Citizen or others with installation access credentials.
- Picture id required for anyone 16 years of age or older
- No large bags or backpacks
- Bags may subject to inspection
- No food or drinks
- Bathrooms are not readily available
- No weapons allowed
- No outstanding warrants
