  • Rocket 140ft straight up in 2.5 seconds.

  • You must be 54 inches tall to ride.

You should not ride this ride if you have any neck or back problems, heart conditions, motion sickness, pregnancy or any other major medical conditions.

G-Force Accelerator

Train like an astronaut and experience three times the force of gravity as you test your will in the G-Force Accelerator!

  • Experience 3 G's pushing on your body!
  • Push against centripetal force to test your strength!
  • You must be at least 48in tall to ride the G-Force Accelerator.

You should not ride this simulator if you have any heart problems, inner ear problems, asthma, seizures, pregnancy, back or neck pain, claustrophobia, motion sickness, detached retina or any other major medical condition.



Kids Cosmos Energy Depletion Zone

Young astronauts are able to crawl around in the Space Station.

  • Dream of docking the command module to the Space Station.

  • Crawl up into the rocket and picture being launched to the Moon.

  • For children under the age of 8 accompanied by an adult.

Mars Mission

Journey to Mars to sight-see the Martian surface, but beware, those elusive life forms have an even more elusive theme park! Ride in our simulated capsule and explore parts of Mars we never expected to find!

You should not ride the Mars Mission Simulator if you suffer from any medical problems that may be affected by this ride. Such problems include: Epilepsy, back or neck problems, pregnancy, motion sickness or claustrophobia.



Mars Climbing Wall

Ever wanted to journey to Mars? Well, beware future traveler; the red planet is a dangerous place to visit. Arid, cold, rocky and apparently lifeless, it has very little to offer to the casual tourist. Yet Mars is an extreme sports lovers’ paradise. Endless hiking trails, the deepest canyons and the tallest volcano will challenge even the most diehard sportsman. Challenge yourself on our Climbing Wall to scale the Milky Way’s tallest volcano, Olympus Mons.

To participate in this ride you must:

  • Have on closed toed and closed heeled rubber soled shoes

(We provide these at the Climbing Wall if you didn’t bring some with you)

  • Please do not attempt to climb the wall with bare feet, sandals, high heels, or leather or hard-soled shoes.
  • Minimum weight 50 lbs.
  • Maximum weight 300 lbs.



Hummer

Take a ride through simulated terrorist territory in our re-outfitted HMMWV. Extricate yourself from the enemy while riding in an actual HMMWV in our fast-paced first-person shooter. Choose from either interior joystick mayhem, or shoot a rocket launcher from above using the Tow missile system.

Apache

Become a military wonder on our Apache simulator. Control our re-outfitted Apache AH-64D Longbow helicopter and shoot down enemies from above using 30mm rounds, Hydra, and Hellfire missiles. Learn how to control a turret as the gunner, or swing in tight on enemies while piloting one of America’s most lethal flying machines.

The International Space Station is an enormous construction site, zipping around the Earth at over 17,000 MPH. How do they put it together? How does the Shuttle get to it? Where will we travel next? Discovery Theater can answer these questions and more.

Discovery Theater Shows give museum guests a better understanding of how science principles from the past help NASA plan for space travel in the future. The U.S. Space & Rocket Center offers three live shows daily. Discovery theater shows are fun, informative and includes hands on demonstrations and live presentations. 1-65 and I-565 in Huntsville, Alabama. The
Center in located at Exit 15 off I-565.
