Admit it. You've always wondered what it would be like to be an astronaut.

The U.S. Space & Rocket Center® in Huntsville, Alabama, offers various programs for adults to help you get a little closer to that dream. Sessions for our Adult Space Academy® and Advanced Space Academy® for Adults are held in the late summer/early fall. We also offer adult programs for Aviation Challenge®, a military-style program that uses simulated combat scenarios.

With a three-day Adult Space Academy experience, you will alternate roles in our mission control and shuttle crew during two space simulated missions. With a weeklong Advanced Academy program, you will have an opportunity to experience scuba diving in our underwater astronaut simulator, or be in control of a high performance jet simulator.

Once you master the six-day program, you'll be ready for our extended eight-day camp, which features a simulated space mission lasting at least 24 hours!

With Adult Aviation Challenge, you'll be put through the paces of pre-briefing that bring you up to speed on the basics of aeronautics and aviation. Then, you'll train in our realistic jet fighter simulators. Aviation Challenge also features land and survival skills, as well as training in our two-person centrifuge.
