Astronauts are physically fit before they go to space, but how do they stay fit in space?  Exercise in space is a little different than here on Earth.  If you resolved to become more fit this year, come learn about what astronauts do that can help you with your goals.

National Kite Day is February 8.  Before you celebrate, come review the principles of flight and make some simple flying toys.

2009 is the International Year of Astronomy!  Come learn about NASA telescopes and other astronomy tools.  We’ll also talk about what’s new in astronomy and brainstorm ideas to bring astronomy to the classroom.

Launched in 1990, the Hubble Space Telescope has helped man learn so much about the universe.  What will it take to keep Hubble working another 5-10 years?  We’ll explore the final repair mission set for May 2009 and activities to help kids understand the work that will be done.

The US and NASA are working toward the goal of building a lunar colony.  Among all the other challenges, builders, planners and engineers may have to deal with moonquakes.  Are moonquakes like earthquakes and how do you build a stable structure to withstand a moonquake?  Come see if you might be the engineer NASA needs.

Does your diet need an overhaul?  What if you were planning meals for space?  We’ll check out the kinds and types of foods that astronauts eat while away from the Planet Earth.  We’ll also investigate fresh food possibilities with consideration to usable food and waste creation.

When you think of planet Earth as home, plants and landscape make up a big part of that home, while the moon is desolate and bare.  Is there a link to wellness and the land?  How will early lunar pioneers adapt?
