Join us for our weekday workshops each month for hands-on activities and a chance to share with other educators. These informal sessions introduce you to a topic and give you ideas to take back to the classroom. Pre-registration is encouraged by emailing education@spacecamp.com or calling 256.721.7151.

Each Session Begins at 5:30 PM and ends at 7:30 PM.

The Year of Astronomy

2009 is the International Year of Astronomy!  Come learn about NASA telescopes and other astronomy tools.  We’ll also talk about what’s new in astronomy and brainstorm ideas to bring astronomy to the classroom.

Hubble Repair Mission

Launched in 1990, the Hubble Space Telescope has helped man learn so much about the universe.  What will it take to keep Hubble working another 5-10 years?  We’ll explore the final repair mission set for May 2009 and activities to help kids understand the work that will be done.

Moonquake!
