Day Camps

Program Basics on all sessions:

  • Program will run from 9am until 4:30pm
  • Teams will be grouped by age with up to 16 campers per team
  • Lunch and a snack is provided
  • Daily recreation time
  • Water and swimming in a man-made lake (filtered and treated to swimming pool standards) with depth not to exceed 4 feet
  • Visit the new Davidson Center for Space Exploration including an IMAX and/or 3D movie
  • Height and weight restrictions apply to simulators
  • Tuition:
    • $275 per week
    • $250 per week for 2 to 4 weeks enrollment
    • $225.00 per week for 5 or more weeks enrollment
    • Math or Jedi Experience Day Camps:
      • $350 per Week

Math Camp is June 7 – 11, June 28 – July 2 and July 19 – 23
FOR AGES 7 to 11

MUST HAVE COMPLETED 2ND GRADE

Is your child gifted in Math or Science? Do you want to provide a quality enrichment experience for your child?

A special day camp program for talented and exceptional math students will be offered this summer at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center. We will enrich their skills using challenging activities that extend their love of math to outside the classroom and into space and aviation. Help your child build a strong foundation for the pursuit of mathematics for middle and high school course work and beyond.

  • Use images from Hubble space telescope from a mathematical perspective
  • "Out of this world" word problems
  • Participate in math drill competitions
  • Use math to study space programs and astronomy from past to present

  • Guided tour of our Rocket Park and Museum

All Math @ Space Camp students must have a letter of recommendation from 2009-10 teacher/administrator, verifying the student's interest/talent in math. The letter of recommendation should be emailed to education@spacecamp.com

 

Car Drop Off (U.S. Space & Rocket Center)

Red Towers Entrance 8:10am 5:!5pm

Early drop off and late pick-up:

Parents can drop their child off at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center's red towers no earlier than 7:30am daily for an additional $25 for the week. This will cover breakfast, and supervision until the program begins at 9am.

Parent can also pick their students up at late as 5:30pm daily for an additional $25 per week. This will cover supervision after the program ends at 4:30pm. Pick-up will be at the Space Camp red towers entrance.

Parents/Guardians must bring a photo ID to sign their child into and out of the program each day and will be asked on the first day to list any and all possible people who can pick up or drop their child for the week, as well as an additional, valid contact numbers if needed for the week. Please update the gate check in person if you have to pick up your child at any time during the program (and returning child that day) that way we can have the gate open and your child ready. Remember we have activities going on up until 4pm each and every day including Fridays.

Parents/Guardians must always bring a photo ID and sign their child onto and off of the bus each day. Bus times are exact and we will not be able to wait for late arrivals. If you are late to a bus stop, you must proceed to the U.S. Space & Rocket Center's red towers for regular registration procedures

  • Camps are split into two groups: 7-8 year olds and 9-11 year olds.
