No Go for Space Camp T-Shirt in Alumna's Memory Scarf
A vintage U.S. Space Camp ringer will be proudly displayed in Rachel Hobson's office year round, instead of being displayed around her neck as a part of her recent T-shirt Memory Scarf sewing project.
After discovering a bag labeled "clothes of sentimental value," Hobson, contributing writer at Craftzine.com, came up with a project to create a scarf from these special items she had saved for herself.
Among the t-shirts memorializing the athletic and artistic endeavors of her youth, she discovered a Space Camp t-shirt and asked her twitter followers "will I be able to cut up my Space Camp tshirt ..... Can't bring myself to!"
Hobson reports, "The shirt is more than 20 years old, and is one of my prized possessions. Overwhelmingly, folks voted to spare the shirt, which I did."
