Space Camp, Aviation Challenge and all of our camp programs are operated at The U.S. Space & Rocket Center, in Huntsville Alabama.
Where do the trainees eat?
Trainees eat all of their meals on the premises and most camp programs include the cost of meals.
What types of food are offered?
We offer a wide range of foods that normally include vegetables, fruits, proteins and dessert.
Can you accommodate special dietary needs?
Meals for special dietary needs can be accommodated provided the needs are disclosed prior to the trainees arrival. We strive to make every trainee as comfortable as possible so let us know what you need and we will ensure it happens.
Are there medical facilities near by?
Yes, we have a staff of registered nurses on duty 24 hours a day. In the event of a major medical emergency we are located minutes from a major hospital.
Where do the trainees sleep?
All trainees sleep on premises in dorm style facilities. All facilities are climate controlled and the cost is included in the camp program cost.
Can my child bring a cell phone?
We ask that parents NOT pack cell phones and other electronic devices. Cell phones that are visible and used during camp activities or times other than appropriate call times (wake up / lights out) may be confiscated. Anyone bringing a cell phone must understand this policy and keep cell phones locked in their rooms during other activities.
Is submitting my information on-line secure?
Do I have to submit the transportation form if I am dropping my child off at camp?
Yes, all trainees must submit a transportation form regardless of mode of travel.
Can I add on items?
Yes; select the optional purchase form, enter trainee's information and purchase desired items, or call 1.800.63.SPACE to add purchases to your account. Please call us if you wish to add or change anything within 4 weeks prior to the date of attendance.
Can I make a teammate request?
Yes, please let us know when you register. Requests must be mutual, so please make sure the friend requests your child as well. Teammates must pick same program and track. We strive to honor all requests but they are not guaranteed.
Can I transfer my session?
Yes! All session transfer requests must be received no later than two weeks prior to scheduled start date.
What if I need to cancel my camp?
Please click here to read our cancellation policy. We reserve the right to cancel a session date if participation numbers are inadequate. You may select an alternate date or you may request a full refund of tuition paid should this occur.
